We just got back from a nice vacation in the Ouachita Mountains in Arkansas. An entire week of camping, kayaking, hiking, with a day in Hot Springs thrown in. It's the first time I've been camping in a long time, and the first time since my surgery. I feel like I may be heading back to some normality in my life. Of course, I didn't paddle the kayak - my partner did. And I wore a compression shirt and gloves just in case. Still, progress.
I'm back at work full-time, and my brain is back online, at least mostly. Which should mean that I can get some art done sometime soon. I did one small piece during my recovery at home, but it was just an experiment. I did have one good experience lately; a gallery director saw my work and wants me to send her some images that she can shop around to various venues. That's encouraging. I'll be doing that this week, now that I'm back in town.
